Give me food and Football and I will love you forever. With that said, a few weeks ago we decided to go into the City (well Queens, which is still part of the city) and watch the Champions League Final (if you’re football fan, this is a huge event). Once we made into the city, we decided to go to Tacuba Cantina Mexicana. Its nestled on the corner of 36th St. and 35th ave in Astoria, Queens and being that it was our first time there, we decided to go all out. At first glance, the restaurant looks pretty small, but once you walk inside, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see the amount of space it has!

The decor is extremely eye catching. Its a wonderful mix of a rustic theme with a splash of color. They even had Día de los Muertos skeletons hanging from the ceiling as well as on the bar tops. The restaurant had a bunch of TVs located in every corner and these TVs were hooked up to some sort of surround sound system. So matter where you were located in the restaurant, you had an eye view of the game. Which was perfect for us. Now onto the main dish… their menu. It’s pretty standard as they have your appetizers, entrees, small plates, drinks and desserts.

What caught my eye was the seafood selection. I was excited to see this on the menu as I am huge fan of seafood. So to see such a variety made me feel like I was in heaven!  Seafood is not your thing? Well they also had typical Mexican staples such as tacos, enchiladas, chile renello and carne asada. All of which seemed tempting. As our waitress made her way to our table, we quickly decide that we wanted. So here is what we had:
